(Speaking of which, I really don't like how the AI uses different rules for vision than the player. All my armies were stuck fighting elsewhere and Tomb Kings literally have the worst garrisons in the game.Īlso because fuck you main threat, I had treaties with the western edge of Ulthuan when I was forced to get vision on them razing the last Morathi regions after I bribed them with gifts, but they eventually canceled them when they viewed me was main threat after Noctilus and the DE minor were gone. I lost part of my southern holdings (Morathi's former terrain) because I opted to declare on Sigvald in order to get a NAP with Malekith at one point and one of the Norscans sailed down and started taking territory and there really wasn't a lot I could do about it until I could finish rushing tech and jars. Pushed Cylostra and Alith back, then finally had to start dealing with Malekith. In this specific game, I unified the start province, went north to kill the Ogre minor, decided I didn't want to deal with Malekith's crappy terrain and even more people who didn't like me past him, and circled back around killing Taurox, to the west edge to clear the Skaven minor, then took out Morathi before starting to loop back up. Otherwise no research for Diplomacy, questionable funding to be able to bribe people for relations (sure you don't have to pay for units or upkeep aside from allied units but your building are still expensive as hell, nevermind crafting, and you don't earn a lot of money), and base -20 or so Aversion minimum mean that you're having a hell of a time making deals to keep yourself safe. The bigger problem is that Tomb Kings being army limited feels extremely outdated in the IE meta of building more, weaker armies to be able to put out all the fires you're stuck with, combined with Tomb Kings diplomacy being iffy at best until you can spend 40 turns with a spare army spot cycling Lords until you've stacked up enough Diplomatic in your roster to not have everyone dogpile you.

Lore of Nehekhara is pretty garbo and his bound spell is hard to get amazing value out of until you can get a Tomb Prince or Tomb Scorpion or better construct. The actual battles are fine, though Khatep himself is incredibly weak before he gets his mount. Feels like kind of an awkward campaign and wasn't very fun.
